Not quite what you're looking for, but have you seen the Magic Bar? There may be other, similar options out there as well.

Maybe for now Apple thinks the current keyboard and mouse are still good for a couple of years. Or this is not Apple's priority now and there are numerous choices for third party keyboard and mouse.

I'd like them make a full sized Apple USB backlit keyboard. I'd buy it in a second.

Oh, yes, I forgot mobees...
Problem here is that my father, who's fed up with changing batteries when using his imac, has older 3xAA version of the keyboard.
For me, better resolution would be http://www.mobeetechnology.com/the-power-bar.html , so when I'm on a trip and using keyboard with ipad, I could recharge the keyboard from any usb socket.

But I'd still prefer solar cells and Logitech's pairing switch for 3 devices is absolutely must, but non-changeable battery is also absolutely not.
And if I'd buy apple's mouse, then Magic Feet would be nice, but it's out of stock, horribly expensive (cost more than magic bar+charger together, strange?) and usb hub should be usb3 these days...

Well, guess I'll wait some more...
