I think it will be extremely expensive in the top configuration. I don't think it will be cheaper in any way from the old models.

The key to the successes of the 6.1 is price range. If the base model is some ridiculously high number, the 6.1 will flop. If the base model has a reasonable price, it could be the most successful mac pro ever.
