Not all Best Buy Employees are bad, there are great ones out there too. I am not a Best Buy employee.
I just posted about getting my Black 64GB VWZ on Sunday. Well, on Sunday they did not show the SKU for the same in white in stock. My wife likes the white one, and was willing to wait (we both are moving from iPad 2's, so she still had an iPad to use).
Yesterday, I called the Best Buy closest to her work and gave the SKU for the White one. She looked it up, and did not see them as in stock at her store, but let me know there were 5 at another store (the one closer to our house where I got the black one). It was great of her to go the extra step to let me know where any were locally!
That is not where it ends though...
I called the BB near our house and got Katie on the phone. Katie really took it up a notch. She looked and saw that they did indeed show 5 as in stock (I also know Monday is a truck day for them). I am not sure if they were on the BB truck or came via UPS/FedEx. Either way, they were not in the normal stocked location for the iPads. She came back and let me know that she did not find them where they should be, and that she would check in the receiving area. She offered to call back or that I could stay on hold. I was working at my desk, so hold was fine for me. It took about 50 minutes on the phone, but she did locate it in receiving and put it on hold for my wife to pick up.
Later when my wife picked it up, she heard the truck they got in had 10,000 items on it for Black Friday prep.
This is a great example of two BB employees going above and beyond. Just thought I would share...

Y2J,
I know I described a great BB experience above, but also have had the same experience you described as well...
Luck of the draw!
