Buying iTunes GC from Amazon

Hi everyone,
I'm thinking about buying an iTunes GC from amazon.com, via email delivery.

The problem is, I'm not from the US and I don't really know how this thing works.

If I put my current address (outside US) is there anything that needs physical delivery? I don't really want to pay any customs fee.
And, in case I have to ask someone in the US to receive it, do the usual taxes-per-state apply?
