Today, I discovered a small black dot on my ipod touch. May I know is there any way to confirm that black dot is a dead pixel or just dust? Anyway, is that possible for a dust to enter the screen?

take it to the genius bar. they can determine exactly what it is/replace your iPod with a new one.

Low and behold.... You have to go to the apple store!!

----------

Oh and it's possible but very unlikely since the screen is fused to the glass

Thank you for the concern

Yesterday I visited the retail store and the guy said I can always get warranty for my product. But, since I have already purchased apple care warranty, he suggested it is always wiser to get the warranty when the warranty almost ends (which mean I can get a new one next year). Because the dot there is not a big deal that needs to be replaced immediately.

Thanks all again
