Do you have a bootable installer of the OS on a USB drive?

Is it recommended to make one? If so, how large of a thumb drive is required?

No, I don't. I do have one on an SDXC card, though.

Will the Recovery Disk Assistant program allow for the same thing or does it only work with the current OS running (i.e. if I upgrade to ML, it'll only work with ML)?
