contacts, icloud and outlook problem

I had a problem with having multiple contacts created on my iphone and macbook air. Having trawled the web i found a solution by deleting the 'on my mac' contacts list then re syncing the iphone. This seemed to work fine, however, now, when I load outlook and open a new email I have no email addresses saved in the 'to' field. Can anybody give me any ideas to remedy this please? thanks

Can I just add that its working ok in mail
