Kluwe is free to speak his mind. There is no evidence whatsoever that anybody (even Kluwe himself) can show that he was fired in any way shape or form for speaking out on gay rights.

He may have been asked by one of his bosses to tone things down and say that is advocacy isn’t a good idea. But the teams owner was encouraging him to keep doing what he did. My guess was that the worst it actually got was that the team wanted to make sure that Kluwe’s words didn’t get anywhere near the team. Something that is understandable for any business.
