Hi all,

About 5 months ago I had an incident where my MacBook Pro screen got cracked. The company I got the computer from also gave me a three year "whatever happens" insurance plan. They replaced my screen no problem.

After months of use without issue, my screen is now doing something very strange. It's displaying a massive chunk of blue, pink and green lines almost down the centre of the display. This doesn't happen all the time though, it comes and goes. I've found that by poking the screen or giving a little bend solves the issue immediately. Sometimes the lines flicker and sometimes they're static.

The computer has NOT been dropped, banged, or damaged in anyway.

If anyone knows the cause, or how to fix this problem I would be most grateful.

I have attached an image and video for reference.

Thank you in advance,

John.

My guess is whoever replaced the screen was a bit too rough with it or maybe you are very unlucky. :(

You can either live with it or get it replaced, there's not really any easy way to fix a LCD panel.
