Camera Kit and the new iPod Touch

I was wondering if anybody could tell me if the camera kit works with the new iPod touch when using the 30 pin to lightning converter.

Camera kit is only for the iPads

That's what I thought. I recently purchased the new iPod touch and instead of carrying my ipad to unload pictures I was hoping I could unload on the touch instead.
