When I am in mirroring mode playing a video back to apple tv, is there a way to stop and stop videos(controls). My imac is in another room, with apple tv in living room. I thought of using iPhone via VNC or something, but just didnt know if there is a very simple solution.

So looking for a remote option when in mirroring mode..

Hmm. There's a "remote/wireless mouse" app... it's free I believe. Search "remote" on the iTunes store from your phone, it should be the second result.

Perhaps you could use that to remotely control the cursor on your iMac, while it's mirroring?
