iPhone 5 cracked screen replacements at Apple Store?

my wife dropped her 5 and cracked the screen. Does anyone know if the Apple store is doing screen replacements now? I know they will replace the phone for $230, but that is, of course, bleh.

I was there a week or so ago and they said they didn't have the parts yet but soon.

They'll replace an iPhone 5 for $230 in the store? Does it matter what's wrong with it?

As long as it's recognizable in shape and has all it's parts, yes.

I'm not 100% sure but I think that if it's water damage they won't let you pay the $229.

why wouldn't they.. water damage is an out of warranty replacement even with AC+

That used to be the case a couple of years ago, but they will replace for water damage now.
