Save Downloaded Pictures Somewhere Other Than Camera Roll?

This might be fruitless but, is there a way of saving a downloaded picture somewhere other than the camera roll? Like creating a folder or something in your Photo app? I know you can create Albums but when you send pictures there they are still in the Camera Roll.

No, because the camera roll is every picture you've saved. When you add it to an album, it essentially makes a copy and adds it in.

It doesn't even do that. It's basically just a shortcut. When you delete it from the camera roll it disappears from all the Albums as well.

Yeah I know, which is why I said it's essentially a copy.

I believe it's not a copy, it's a link.
