Garageband for arrangements and experiments
Microsoft Word for writing
Microsoft Excel for logging runs and other number stuff
RapidWeaver for Websites

BitTorrent for downloading from torrent sites
Handbrake for ripping DVDs
Toast for making DVDs, CDs etc.
GetiPlayer Automator for saving programmes from BBC iPlayer etc.
BoincManager for the geek in me and contributing spare cycles

  1. Premiere Pro - For my video editing needs
  2. After Effects - For my VFX needs
  3. Photoshop - For my trolling needs (It also doubles as a good tool for making things for After Effects)
  4. Chrome - For my browsing needs
  5. Mail - For my mailing needs
  6. Skype - For my IM needs
  7. Calendar - For my arrangement needs
  8. Dropbox - For my iDisk needs
  9. Minecraft - Haven't played it in ages but I'll play it when I get my iMac back
  10. Trash - So I can delete crap like iLife

Flip4Mac is also very good. I rarely use it, but it's worth getting.
