Transferring Pages/Numbers/Keynote (non app store) to new iMac

Whenever I try to do this, just copying over the App folders themselves, I get an error on my new iMac. I'm installed the original versions from a CD a few years ago, and they are current. Is there a way to transfer my license to the Mac App Store so I can redownload them?

I really don't want to fork out another $60 bucks.

Use Migration Assistant to transfer all your stuff to the new Mac, and it will take your Apps as well.
