Macbook Pro SSD Question
i have a MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2010). Can i put a SATA 3 ssd?
link speed: 3 gigabit Negotiated Link Speed: 1.5 Gigabit If not, what ssd can i put? i would like a 256gb ssd Thanks in advanced |

The Samsung 830 256GB is a very good drive for the money (often under $200 on Newegg) and the installation is pretty easy. Also check out the Intel 520 series and OWC/Macsale's offerings. All good choices.

Installation of the SSD is pretty easy, just unscrew 10 screws on the bottom, then 2 inside. Then you need a small Torqx to detach the 4 bolts.
The Samsung 830 is a pretty drive, which works fine in multiple Macs from friends. |
