Ipod touch or Pre-paid Smartphone?

I know that i post a lot about questions comparing the ipod touch against another device. As I see pre-paid smartphones popping around the market for prices under $200, I wonder why everyone doesn't get one and use it as an mp3 player/media device?

Most of them aren't that bad and might even be better than the ipod touch 5th gen in many categories.

Also, if you ever need 3G/4G data, you can just buy a cheap plan for just that time period rather than a 2 year contract.
