Need help with numbers still showing after I delete them

How can I fix this problem? I just updated it to the new ios and when I delete a number it won't show in my text. But numbers I deleted before this upgrade are still showing up when I go and creat a new text. I was having this problem before I upgraded so I know that's not the issue. Anybody have a solution for this it's driving me nuts thanks! I have an iPhone 5

I'm having the same issue. When writing a new text message and inputting the correspondent's name it shows their old number and new number. I have to then go into contacts and look up the person to check which number is correct. So annoying!
