Apple online store is showing me $594 including a $45 tax for the 16 GB version.

Is there any place where I can buy the iPhone 5C and pay no tax for shipping it to California?

Is the iPhone 5C eligible for college student discount? If so how much is the price reduction?

No you have to pay tax in CA especially because Apple is based there.

That said you can go to a state with no sales tax.

And the there neither a business nor a student discount on iPhones.
