Seems high to me - people don't pay much for upgrades - there buying a used computer mainly to save money.

I would say....
$1000-1100, tops. The remaining AppleCare and upgrades helps in the price. But also can help no cosmetic and functional issues and good care of the machine.
Take in account that the seconhand market is more price-wise, than hardware wise, so many people only sees the $ figure. And dont forget to account the shipping costs/fees, if selling through an online site. ![]()
