hi
slightly attached to my last question but i am trying to figure out the best way of getting my Carbon Copy Cloner image on to a replacement MBP A1278
Image is Snow L and i have been informed i will need a machine of a similar age not running M Lion
however the loss adjusters have informed me the can return my hard drive in a caddy is there any mileage in just slotting the old HDD straight into the new machine or will there be hardware conflicts?
so to be mundane seems a bit of a minefield
cheers though
JJ

If you get a 2011 MBP, a simple HDD transfer will do fine, but a 2012 MBP will have hardware for which there are no Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard drivers.
