iPad iPad 5 to have new fingerprint sensor?

Of course it will be on the new iPad, people have the same need to secure their info as with the iPhone. As for it not being in the home button.....are you kidding?

They won't get the new fingerprint scanner because it's in short supply for the 5S as it is already. That means they wouldn't be able to get enough supply for the full-sized iPad, or the mini.
