(Did a forum search but did not find similar posting).

Imaging taping on a plain, hard surface to type out text.

It uses the accelerometers as a geophone to locate where and how far away the impact was and type a letter, like a seismograph.

To me the amazing part is how accurate it is, able to distinguish vibrations only a few millimeters apart.

Has a long way to go but it's not something I would get into. Way louder than a real keyboard. I appreciate the innovation and thinks its pretty cool they were able to do this, but I don't see the point. I don't want to switch to an even bigger non tactile keyboard from the iPhone.
