SuperDuper not copying all the files!?

Why is SuperDuper missing some files while backing up to my external firewire drive? And why doesn't it even report it?
It just says job finished, when done, but when I compare the size of my primary harddrive, where OS X 10.5.4 is installed, to my external LaCie, there is a difference of about 500 MB!!!???

I'm using "Backup - All Files" in SuperDuper.
Furthermore, it repairs permissions first, and then makes a "Smart Update Backup"!

What am I missing?

(Please don't tell me to use Time Machine instead!)

Dont worry! looks fine!

SuperDuper! doesnt backup unneccesary files like caches and either does Time Machine.

Yes! It may trash caches, but it also misses some NEEDED files.

For eg. it omits copying some QuickTime libraries, and applications that use these will not even open. Each time I boot from a SuperDuper! clone, I have to reinstall QuickTime.

Maybe it's Apple's fault, but SuperDuper! should have found a workaround by now!

And..... it would be nice if they gave the USER the choice to omit what they consider unneeded files!
