Insanely slow search in iTunes 11! Help?
I'm on Snow Leopard 10.6.8, 2.8Ghz iMac, 8GB RAM.
Anytime I try the "search library" function on iTunes 11, it is so slow it's practically unusable - the moment I start typing, I get the spinning beach ball and none of my text even appears... I can type in the whole search string (f.ex. the name of the artist) and it'll take like 30 seconds of spinning before a single letter of my text even appears. In the previous version of iTunes, I'd type and immediately suggestions would appear as I type. This is insane and practically unusable. My library is pretty big, 1.5TB, but that was never a problem on the old iTunes! What is going on?? Is there any way to fix this? Is anyone else having this problem? Wow, this is one bad update...

This should help
I was having the same problem, but I found an answer here. iTunes life is good again. Hope it works for you too.
