I got a base model today. Haven't had a lot of time with it yet but the screen seems evenly lit. Very quiet as well. Seems good so far.
Have a base model in the shop... Looks like an iMac from the front, great from an angle and silly from the side... The pregnant guppy look isn't becoming, IMHO.
That is great to hear about the screen, it's really my main worry. If you get the chance feel free to share your first impressions.
