I've just bought the Mini and an 11" MBA. Whilst the MBA will likely get upgraded or passed onto a family member in 18/24 months, the Mini will likely hang around for a very long time. I've got a 2001 iMac that I was using as a kitchen digital radio until very recently. I've still got my 1992 Classic in my classroom at work, for the kids to have a play with. I tend to hang on (and on) to desktops.

I just ordered the base Quad core version last night. I'm hoping to keep it until 2015. I will upgrade it to 16GB of RAM in a couple of months time and with a large SSD (500GB+) in a year or so.
