I know I'm going to hear "this is BS", or "you can't trust those guys reviews", but here goes.

In some the MBA won, in some the Series 9, but I got the distinct impression reading these reviews that both machines are very capable and you can't go wrong choosing either.

IMO the 13" Series 9 and the 13" MBA look very similar, I would give the edge to the MBA in the trackpad while the Series 9 has a much nicer screen.

The Series 9 has a higher resolution screen than the MBA, the Series 9 has a 1080p screen while the MBA has a 1440x900 screen.
Weird. The Samsung Series 9 that I sold had a 1366x768 screen. I've noticed that Samsung has labeled several VERY different laptops "Series 9". The one I had included socketed RAM, where most of the other "Series 9" laptops didn't. Very confusing, Samsung.

That might be the whole root of this thread: Some people (like me) are comparing one version of the Samsung Series 9 laptop to the MBA, and others are comparing ANOTHER version of the Series 9 laptop to the MBA.

I recently bought an S9 and it's build quality is as high as an MBA, except the KB.

My MBA is from 2011, and I prefer it over the new S9 kb. The size of the trackpad is generous but the implementation of gestures is simply better on OSX. I do like the S9's thinner bezels though.

Can't wait till UBs or MBAs start getting IPS displays. Don't care about retina since IGPs are not powerful enough to guarantee a smooth experience all the time.

Agreed, there is a Series 9 with a 1080p IPS screen and SSD, while there are other Series 9s with traditional RAM, HDD, and the screen you mentioned.

As I said, I give the MBA a huge nod in the trackpad, nothing else I have used on other laptops have some close.

As far as the keyboard, I find the MBA keyboard adequate, but not anything to write home about as far as feel. I guess the Series 9 is even worse.
