I work with a non-profit, and we're pinching our pennies.

I'm surmising that at some point in the future, a memo will go out that says - take all the 'old' mac pro display models the showroom floor. I imagine these will be sold as refurbs to general public, or offered to employees at discount etc.

Anyway I can get in on the action for best price? Perhaps units with banged up cases... ?

Thanks for the input!

They get sent back to Apple, refurbished, and then sold in the online store. SO if you want one look in the online store.

If you want one from an auction then look on eBay.

Actually, I know people who have bought store model machines from the store.

It's no guarantee though. Seems like a long shot.
