Hi!
My Dad's friend is travelling to the US next week, and I asked him to buy me an iPhone 5. Im from Israel so I need a sim-free one. Can he just pick up a device at the apple store (NYC)? If not, can I order one from Israel, and having it saved for when he gets to the apple store?
Thank You!

your dads friend should be able to pick one up from NYC without any problems. from my understanding your dad's friend will have to pick up and unlocked verizon iphone 5, in order for to use it in your country.

He can pick an unlocked AT&T version as well and it will work over there.

According to Apple there is no support for LTE in Israel as of now so any unlocked GSM version will work.
