Please can someone tell me how to unlock my permissions on external drives....
Hi,
I'm having issues with some folders been read only... I have formated the external drives, copied back the folders but I seems the folders are the problem. I've also done disk repair and disk verified. But when I try to change my privileges on the affected folders it says I don't have permission. Even if I try to add another user it still says no permission. From what I've read - should the 'staff' drives be 'admin' if so, then my itunes drive (10TB) maybe needs changing to 'admin'??? Thanks in advance Last login: Wed Dec 26 19:01:37 on ttys001 marks-imac:~ Aquaboy$ ls -alOe /Volumes total 24 drwxrwxrwt@ 6 root admin hidden 204 26 Dec 18:48 . 0: group:everyone deny add_file,add_subdirectory,directory_inherit,only_inherit drwxr-xr-x@ 32 root wheel - 1156 26 Dec 18:17 .. drwxrwxr-x@ 71 Aquaboy staff - 4473 25 Dec 11:53 BOOTCAMP drwx------@ 1 Aquaboy staff - 534 26 Dec 18:45 Lacie 3TB (esata) #2 lrwxr-xr-x 1 root admin - 1 26 Dec 18:16 Macintosh HD -> / drwx------@ 1 Aquaboy staff - 264 26 Dec 18:19 iTunes marks-imac:~ Aquaboy$ id uid=501(Aquaboy) gid=20(staff) groups=20(staff),401(com.apple.access_screensharing-disabled),12(everyone),33(_appstore),61(localaccounts),79(_appserverusr),80(admin),81(_appserveradm) ,98(_lpadmin),100(_lpoperator),204(_developer),402(com.apple.sharepoint.group.1) marks-imac:~ Aquaboy$ echo "done" |
