I had to get my Macbook 11" repaired, and the monitor was replaced.
Before, when I typed in the: ioreg -lw0 | grep IODisplayEDID | sed "/[^<]*</s///" | xxd -p -r | strings -6 command in Terminal, the output began with the prefix LP, indicating it was an LG monitor. Now, when I type the command in, I get the prefix B instead. Does this imply that it is a Samsung monitor now? Or another brand? And, more importantly, would this macbook have had its colour profiles set-up for the LG monitor, and now the colours will all be off? Do I need to calibrate it? Advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks |
