Question LG monitor replaced with a different brand... what do I do now?

I had to get my Macbook 11" repaired, and the monitor was replaced.

Before, when I typed in the:

ioreg -lw0 | grep IODisplayEDID | sed "/[^<]*</s///" | xxd -p -r | strings -6

command in Terminal, the output began with the prefix LP, indicating it was an LG monitor.

Now, when I type the command in, I get the prefix B instead.

Does this imply that it is a Samsung monitor now? Or another brand?

And, more importantly, would this macbook have had its colour profiles set-up for the LG monitor, and now the colours will all be off? Do I need to calibrate it?

Advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Where did you get it repaired? Might be a off brand panel, not sure. And yes you have to calibrate it for the new Panel. But if it looks good to you then don't worry about it.

Apparently it's an AUO monitor now!
