Samsung raises price of chips sold to Apple by 20%

Reportedly Samsung has figured out an easy way to save for that possible $1 billion trial fine to Apple... by having Apple pay for it themselves:

With Apple slated to buy over 200 million CPU chips from Samsung in the next year, that could be about $700 million extra from the price increase for those alone.

No one but Apple's procurement people and their account rep at Samsung know what Apple pays for chips.

Samsung could clearly raise the price as they are single source today, however the design belongs to Apple, and it could be manufactured by TSMC or even AMD in a very short time if they decided to try to jack up the price significantly.
