How do you even get boring on a Mac?? I just look at it for hours and hours....

Now serious, always choose things that contribute to yourself and to your wisdom, read books or articles, watch movies, some porn now and then.....

I don't like reading books, I don't have patience for watching movies and there's no man that is watching porn 24/7. I'm reading many (news-) articles day, but sometimes you want to do something to relax.

This...

I was reading through the history of gaming this morning, and then I somehow ended up on a page about jazz music.

You are both right - what was I thinking? Clearly I'm missing out!

Work on fixing layouts and functionality problems in the FileMaker Pro database I wrote and maintain as a volunteer or go clean my woodworking shop.

Or if I'm really bored I'll fold laundry.

There's got to be something that you find exciting. Go and do it, or get a book on Amazon about it and educate yourself.

Isn't there a strong link between boredom and creativity? I sure do hope so and finally everything would make sense again..

and re that 4k stuff, I've absolutely no clue what you're talking about, but it sounds very important. I hope there will be some front page news around here soon covering that topic, since it sounds like a killer argument for getting a retina MBP??

I would think creativity derives from curiosity coupled with having free time to indulge in exploration.

Boredom seems like the result of being incurious and uninterested.

Wouldn't think of it as a dogma. Sometimes when I'm bored it is that I think of sth. different, and not when my mind is already occupied. But I don't disagree necessarily, it's just that out of sth. bad sth. very beautiful can emerge. *cough*

Don't click on it! The site will crash! It's the same if you type in Google on the Google website. It brings down the whole Internet!

Usually a little League of Legends or Diablo3..

If I'm not near a computer, Peggle / Peggle Nights for the win.

This FTW. I have stumbled across so much mindlessly amusing and dubiously factual information by grazing from one Wiki article to the next.
