Every once in a while I read over here that there are people who managed to include a 500gb drive in their ipod..

So where are they ?

I currently own a 80gb Video and I have around 6 gigs left, so very soon I will have to upgrade. I am well aware of the Toshiba 240GB drive, and while it may do the job, I am certainly sure the 500gb will finally satisfy my musical needs.

There was a user posting that he upgraded to 500gb via iPod Repair Center in Canada. I immediately contacted them, I sent them all the info about my iPod and all they said was that I should send my iPod to them and they'll see what can be done. Meh

What I want to know, is the 500gb FULLY working ? As in, can the iPod index all the songs, will shuffle work, will it lag too much, will the battery life take a significant hit ?

I can't find literallly ANY concrete info with Google.

If for example I can only use like 270-300gb of it I might just use the 240gb one..better battery life also.
