Yes I do the same thing. Under cellular data and view account you'll have the option to transfer your service to the new SIM card. Only takes 2 minutes and you can swap back and forth.

This will only work on prepaid att plans (unlimited data included)

I do it few times a week without issues
And I can even re-activate on the other ipad thru AT&T's network without wifi

I just tried to transfer my unlimited ipad data plan from ipad2 to ipad mini only to be told that unlimited plan not available for new device.

I was using settings to transfer.

Any idea whats going on?
