Stanton T92 Turntable Digital Output to iMac connection

Hi,


I have a Stanton T92 Turntable that I would like to connect to my iMac (Mid-2011 Edition) so that I can listen to some records.


My turntable has a coaxial digital output as seen here:

I am aware that I need an optical mini-plug for the back of my iMac such as this:

but I am confused on which converter I need to connect to my turntable.

Also, do I plug the toslink mini-plug into the audio line in jack and then configure the sound settings?


The other option: Could I totally by-pass the digital input/output and just connect a Y-cable splitter from turn turntable to the iMac?
