Transferring SMS/iMessage from 4S to my Note2?

How can I back up all of my old sms/iMessages and transfer them to my Note2?

Roughly I remember this is what I did. Sorry I can't remember the actual app/file name (maybe you can google it)

1. First sync iphone to itunes. Go to itunes folder in PC and copy file that contains the sms to your android phone.
2. Install a free Android app which converts itunes file to xml.
3. Install another free Android sms import app to import the xml file.
