Yojimbo and PathFinder want access to my contacts

Both Yojimbo and PathFinder keep asking for access to my contacts

Is this normal?

Many apps will ask you for permission because they use the data in Address Book to find out who you are and fill in data when you mail bug reports or request help.

They really just pull your name and email from the "Me" contact.

Edit: both of those companies are very well respected. I don't think you have anything to worry about.
