New SSD on MBP but OS X still not that fast booting.

I have a new SSD which is working great but to boot up my MBP , OSX is still not that fast. Since my first Mac laptop I have not done a clean install because I just didnt want to go through the hassle of loading all the programs etc. back in. Could that be the reason its not that fast to boot?
I have a clean install of Win 7 on my bootcamp and it opens and close really fast.

Has Mac OSX just become bloated compared to what it used to be so its much slower to boot?
What can I do to clean it up if thats the case to make it open faster?

How much free space do you have on your boot partition?

Three easy steps.
  1. Click the hard drive icon in the upper righthand corner of your Desktop.
  2. Click [cmd]+[i] or select the File/Get Info menu item in the Finder.
  3. Read.

What do you consider to be fast? How many seconds?

I noticed a huge difference in boot time when I upgraded to an Intel 520 SSD with SATA3 from a stock HDD on SATA2. Of course, I also did a clean install and only using about 20 GB on a 240 GB SSD.
