When I made my first post here I was actually was going beyond simple allocation of specific resources, because resources are only part of an individuals utility. I was going for more for economic equality of individual utility. That does not necessarily imply maximized technical or productive efficiency ... and I guess in a dystopian model even Pareto optimal distribution of utility may not make people happy, but it would be be the best we could do... for everyone.

So in an all encompassing sense I was talking about what a "perfect world" is, or how it's defined. From a individuals perspective Pareto optimal utility distribution may not be enough; but they would either have to take from another's utility or create something that would increase the utility of the entire world... of course individual gains from the latter have only marginal benefits to the individual.

So is copper when protected, so is fiber if you're using photovoltaic.

In a perfect world, how would the country run?

By Wikileaks (or another similar unbiased organisation based on removing the censorship and secrets the world is so intent on keeping).

To a point. People striving to work hard to feed their families, people giving to those in need, freedom of choice (I do not condone government controlled religious policies for marriage or prayer or mandatory mass etc), sound morals, etc...

If only.

As long as humans are involved, perfection is an impossibility.
