Is this a normal?

I would think it would be firm.

Run to your nearest Apple Store, RUN, take that **** back and tell them you won't stand for buttons that wiggle a bit!

Seriously, that thing is just waiting to wiggle a bit next time you push it from the side ()... run! Run back to the Apple store straight away!!

Ya mine rattles also. It annoying when someone text me while im on the phone. I hear a baby's rattle in my ear. Hoping someone gets some new stock around here so i can have it replaced.
