Differentiating older iPhone 5 and T-Mobile tweaked iPhone 5

For those curious about how to differentiate the two models when the model number is the exact same and would like to know:

The real question is, what version of iOS does it ship with?

I'd bet 6.1.3 but would be nice if it was 6.1.2 or lower

More than likely 6.1.3, Apple wouldn't be that amazing to ship with 6.1.2

Thanks for the information but mine doesnt support the full Tmobile LTE AWS band (1700/2100).

I'd rather keep my jailbroken iphone 5 and not lose my tweaks and still get speeds up to 21 mbbps.

yes all iPhone 5's will support LTE on AWS and HSPA/HSPA+ on PCS. The difference is the new version will support HSPA/HSPA+ on AWS and will support additional LTE bands,

This is good information for anyone looking to buy a T-Mobile compatible iPhone from eBay, Craigslist, etc.

Geez, they could have avoided all the confusion (especially if buying from a 3rd party) by SIMPLY calling it B1428 or A1428-1 or even RALPH.

Or just enabled AWS to begin with when they shipped the first iPhone 5's.
