Run sound through TV and computer speakers
Hi All - just picked up a new Apple TV yesterday and things are working perfectly.
My only question is this: Is is possible to run sound through both my TV AND my computer speakers at the same time while watching on the TV? I have some great Klipsch computer speakers which would help tremendously during playback. THX! Last edited by stridemat; Nov 17, 2012 at 11:38 AM. Reason: Updated title |

Yes, it's absolutely possible to do that.
Assuming you're using HDMI to connect the ATV to your TV, then that cable will carry sound to your TV. If your TV has a sound output, then you can send that to your Klipsch speakers. If your TV does not have a sound output, the ATV has an optical audio out to send to your Klipsch speakers. If your speakers don't use optical audio, then you can get an optical to analog converter from monoprice.com for not too much money.
