evernote

evernote is a good choice, it will have apps for smartphone,tablets and you can also access the files using any browser on the go...

For anyone still interested, Outline seems to have added support for editing OneNote notebooks and syncing via skydive.

Unfortunately, they don't seem to have a trial version which is a bit annoying.

As versatile as Growly Notes is, and as much fun as I had porting old documents and journals to it, I finally made the switch to Evernote. Having everything backed up to the cloud and available to my iPhone is just too handy to do without.
