here is the scenario:
I sold my iPhone 4 on Ebay for pretty close to $700. The buyer *seemed* legit (good feedback, good communication throughout, left positive feedback for me). Now 2 weeks later he is filing a claim with paypal that the charge on his credit card was unauthorized. This means I owe paypal $700 and have no phone. He never once contacted me with any issues (that's because there are no REAL issues). I emailed him asking about this claim and surprise, no response.
700 $ for iPhone 4, this itself is very high; being in India, sometime back it was published in print media that we (folks in India), trying to sell products on our local buy/sell type of websites, are contacted by fakes trying to buy products double the price and asking them to ship it say USA/UK/Nigeria.
they always ask for Paypal payments. as per their study, mostly these guys are fakes and they try to do the same as it happened to you.
the article strongly advised not to go in for such deals.. it may be completely different case,but may be same as well. just a thought i shared...
