I have my mini and iPad 1, though the iPad 1 has largely been relegated to my kids using - even so their first choice is my mini as well

I just upgraded from my iPad 1 (16 GB + 3G) to an iPad Mini (32 GB + AT&T). I love the Mini. It provides me with all previous functionality, but added portability is a major plus in my honest opinion. A Retina screen would be nice, but this one does just fine.
