Iphoto mayhem
im new to iMac. loving my new toy. great fun.
Anyway, i have 34,000 pics going back to 2000. Many of my kids. Somewhere along the line the album was duplicated (2005). the difficulty is now i have to manually go through and delete these duplicates which is taking forever. My dilemma is as follows: 1/ My photos which are from a PC are categorised for different events. E.G. sons 4th birthday etc. If i use facial recognition to fast track the process, will i loose my folder tags? will all the images of my son just be jumbled together in one folder? 2/ is there a better way to organise my pictures? Thanks to those that respond! |

I can fully answer you question, but I think iPhoto has an option for deleting duplicate photos, if so maybe this could help solve the problem after you have imported them?
