Airplay cuts out when switching to another app or ipad sleeps

Help!!
I have a problem with airplay from ipad 3 to atv3. Up to tonight never had an issue in 6 monts, but now music, or video stops if i switch apps or if ipad sleeps. Even playing from itunes,or content from safari. Not got a clue where to begin. Damn sure I've not changed anything! Any help much appreciated.
Ipad is on ios6.0.1 (10A523) and atv3 version 5.1.1(5433)

Close all apps in the iPad and reboot and pull the power plug on the ATV and plug it back in. After everything reboots try to replicate the problem.

It might fix it, it might not. But always try rebooting if AirPlay is acting up. That's always worked for me.

And if you are still having problems try a different iOS device if possible.

Restored atv and closed all apps on ipad turn on,off and problem seems to be gone, for now!
