Hello,

If I back up iPhoto like this...

(User Name) -> Pictures -> iPhoto Library, and drag-drop to the external hard drive window

...and I take that external to another Mac, can I click on the iPhoto icon that is on the external without messing up the iPhoto library that is already on that computer?

Thanks,

Cfs

IPhoto Library

You can also go to
File>Export>Export iPhoto Library
You can choose where to save it to and if you tick the save events in folders if you restore at a later date it will automatically recreate your events, not your Faces data though

Doesn't it automatically save the events in the folders if I drag it the way I did? If not ill have to go back and do it again.

Thanks

IPhoto Back Up

I don't think it does as I've tried this in the past best to do both I think. I know that what I said works & it's actually really easy to do
